LIKES • Katherine is really interested in art, literature, and volleyball. In her free time, she is either hanging out with her friends or thinking up creative ideas for her next storyline based on real-life events that have happened throughout the day, although the actual happenings are twisted sometimes to fit what her creativity demands. She also has an unusual liking to the smell of old leather chairs and aged books.
DISLIKES • Some of her dislikes include bugs and spiders of any type, people who depend themselves on others, and when she gets in fights with those she is close to.
SECRETS • She is still a virgin, but it isn't really much of a secret.
FEARS • Katherine isn't really afraid of much, but she does get freaked out when watching scary movies. She is also afraid of roller coasters because of her slight motion sickness and also, she is mostly scared that she might one day lose her friends over something stupid, such as the Wigmore drama that constantly swirls like a dangerous cloud overhead.
RANDOM FACTS • Her favorite thing in the world beside her close friends is her dog, Belle. Belle is a multi-colored brown Shetland Sheepdog that Kat absolutely adores.
PERSONALITY • Katherine is an independent and fun-loving girl with an interesting person. She isn't afraid to be her own person and is admired by the populars because of her differences. She loves to simply be with her friends, who are like her family since her own actual blood-related family is often gone or chooses to ignore her. The girl would do anything for her friends and defend them no matter what. Without her closest friends, Katherine knows that she would probably be alone and empty like some of the populars.
The rougher side of Katherine includes a sarcastic side that can be interpreted as a joke or a harsh insult. Unlike most, she does not use guys but simply flirts with them to get what she wants. This works just as effective as any other means of using people; she can get people to break at her will if she wanted them to, but her kind temperament prevents herself from doing this to most people. However, she does sometimes purposely ruin people but only if they did something to infuriate her in the first place. Other than that, she is a very loyal and loving friend who can easily trip up other people to make them feel worthless if she feels threatened.

"SHE DIDN'T STAND A CHANCE," THEY SAID
FAMILY • Katherine's family, to say the least, is dysfunctional. With both of her parents gone majority of the time, Katherine is left to fend for herself. Her father Damon Vincent (40), a French diplomat and very rich investor, often makes business trips in order to add to his already large fortune. Rosland Vincent (37) is Sophie's mother and is a Swedish supermodel, who is also often away modeling for Victoria Secret, Ralph Lauren, or some other famous designers. Lastly, there is Katherine's sister, Camelia. Camelia (20) graduated Wigmore Academy with a major in literature, too and works as a writer for a newspaper in Canada. Despite their differences, Camelia and Kat get along quite well and have depended on one another on their parent's trips away from home. Rosland often tries to push her daughters in the way of fashion, rather than the arts, but Camelia, being so stubborn and defiant, persuades her sister to follow her dreams, rather than listen to what anyone else says. When Katherine is alone, Belle often is there most often to comfort the girl when she is staying in her apartment on the Upper East side of London.
HISTORY • For most of her young life, Katherine lived in Paris, France with her father and mother in one of the nicest houses in the city. As a result, all of the Vincents speak fluent French and often talk in their native language when they are around one another. At the age of ten, her family moved to London because both of her parents' jobs required the transfer of countries. Katherine didn't really mind moving, as she loved London and some of the books it inspired, such as Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan. Camelia, on the other hand, dreaded the idea and voiced her opinion constantly to her family for the first couple of months. Secretly, Katherine also agreed with her sister's anger because she absolutely adored Paris, but both cities were enjoyable and inspiring. Eventually, the family became accustomed to London and were well-known among everyone in the city.
When Katherine was fourteen and Camelia was seventeen, their parents bought them their own flat in London while they were away on business ventures. From the days on, Katherine has lived with her sister in their apartment in peace and happiness, that is, until Camelia graduated and moved to Canada with her boyfriend. The young girl feels comfortable walking around the nicer parts of London - in the museums and galleries, the bookstores, and the finest stores - and just has to look at the beauty of the city to feel an aspiring story start to work itself into her mind.

SHORT ROLE-PLAY SAMPLE • Katherine was walking down the streets with her wool jacket pulled tightly across her body to prevent the harsh cold of the current weather from seeping into her bones. A pink knit cap with matching gloves covered her tender fingers and head. Her gray, black, and white scarf was wrapped around her neck and fluttered as the wind tugged objects backward. Her eyes became slightly blurry with small tears that slowly swelled and fell onto the ground as another current of ice and snow forced itself against walking pedestrians on the streets of London. The white substance littered itself on the ground in all directions, covering the tops of buildings and resting itself on the clothing of people as they moved down the still-crowded streets of the city.
The girl turned a corner where trees dotted the walkway and stopped some of the flurry from finding itself onto her gentle blond waves. This was a residential street that she visited often, mainly because it had her favorite bookstore tucked into the quiet area. The homes were much smaller than any that Sophie had ever lived in. But, they promised happy families and a peaceful environment, which was something she had never had growing up as a child. Finally, she arrived at her destination. She pushed upon the door, closed her eyes, and took in a deep breath. When she opened them again, she suddenly knew she was in her true home.
