Her flaming red platform heels clicked delicately with her light steps, though the sound was nearly drowned out with the noise and bustle of the establishment. A few heads turned to watch as she strutted to the bar. But how could they not? Itzel was clad in an incredibly short, gold sequined party dress. And that’s not even mentioning how tall she was. Already at five-ten, her shoes made her easily taller than six foot. Mentally, she thanked the heels. There was nothing that they did better than making her legs look a million miles long with a little help from the dress. Out of habit, Itzel shook out her strawberry-blonde tresses as she finally reached the bar. Placing her wine colored manicured hand onto the wooden surface, the waiter asked what she would like. Muted, glossed lips stretched across her teeth in a bright smile, “Mojito, please, with 10 Cane, not Bacardi,” Itzel declared lightly. She heaved a heavy sigh. Bored was she as she stared impassively at the numerous bottles of alcohol. It was a Saturday night and she had nothing to do. Going out and partying was definitely the way to go. But before she went to an official club she was going to have some decent drinks. That’s the one thing Itzel hated most about raves at certain joints; they always had horrid alcohol. It was all just to get you trashed and not enjoy the actual taste of the fluid. So she had gotten in the habit of going to a good bar or restaurant beforehand and getting a little tipsy so by the time she went to parties, she didn’t care what the drinks tasted like.
The bar tender seemed to be taking some time to prepare her beverage. Itzel hadn’t seen him before so maybe he was new, or a fill in. With a roll of her eyes, she sat on an empty bar stool next to her. Resting her head in one of her hands, Itzel looked around the bar dejectedly. It was definitely full but nothing seemed to spark her interest so she simply sat waiting. When he finally finished and handed the drink to her, Itzel murmured a thanks and her ring clinked against the glass as she grasped it in her hand. After taking a dainty sip, she concluded that it was, indeed, a plausible mixture despite how novice the bartender seemed. It may have not been the best mojito that she’s ever had but defiantly not the worst. And absolutely better than what would be served at a club. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -• B E C A U S E Y O U S A Y S O •UNDER YOUR BREATH 444 WORDS | COMPLETE | MICHAEL | OUTFIT LYRICS BY PANIC! Michael was on his way to Fairfield bar, his scrappy beard itching his face. He looked scruffy. His hair was messy, his hat was tilted and his shirts top button was unbuttoned. He was a regular at Fairfield bar, and knew all the bartenders names by heart. It wasn't as if he was an alcoholic, he just knew everybody near Wigmore. Some would guess that he was a social butterfly, but he was far from that. His conversing wasn't smooth, he was not intelligent and he was usually drunk more than he was sober. He was harmless though. All he wanted was to find a girl.
He never mentioned that to anybody though. People just assumed that he wasn't a virgin because he always hung out with girls. He was always in the friends zone though, and he assumed that he was going to be there for a while. Once he finally reached the bar, he walked in with a confident smile before he heard his phone ringing. "Mum. No...mum I can't. Well Luke can walk home, I'm not driving all the way to soccer practice." He said before hanging up the phone.
He suddenly felt his cheeks go red as he realized the bar was almost empty, besides one very attractive girl sitting on her own. Had she heard what he said? He hoped not. He didn't know what to do. Should he pretend nothing had happened? Should he approach her? He decided to stay a few feet away, ordering the usual beer from a familiar faced bartender.

I'M THE NEW CANCER •• N E V E R • L O O K E D • B E T T E R •• A N D Y O U C A N ' T S T A N D I T- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Absentmindedly, Itzel twirled her glass in a circle with her delicate fingers. Every once in awhile her ring would clang against the glass and an odd ting noise would echo out in the bar. Though, the sound was muted by the murmurs of the people beginning to congregate in the establishment. Lifting the glass carefully to her golden glossed lips, Itzel took a dainty swig. Suddenly, the door to the bar flew open. She took no care to glance at the new arrival just yet as she took another sip. Though, she was sure to watch him with her peripheral vision. A dull grin tugged gently at the corners of her mouth as he began to speak to his mum on the phone. And it was all that Itzel could do to not chuckle. She’d seen him around Wigmore, certainly. And he was far beyond the age to be speaking to his mum in a bar. Especially to take care of a younger sibling. Itzel’s mum wouldn’t dare call her, especially at this time of day. It wasn’t until then she took the liberty to glance in the boy’s direction; a simple sideways shift of her electric blue eyes. He certainly seemed like an interesting person to toy with; potentially an appealing way to spend her evening as it wasn’t until later in the week that she would be meeting up with Sawyer.
With a heavy, inaudible sigh, Itzel put on her game face – a sultry, from underneath the eyelashes kind of look – as she swiveled her bar stool, so she was fully facing him. “Luke is your brother, no? Soccer is usually a family affair… do you play as well?,” she inquired warmly, despite the icy glare that festered deep in her sapphire eyes. Itzel crossed her legs and turned so she was back to facing the bar. Sitting a moment, quite still, she waited. Then noticing that he hadn’t yet begun to make his way over, Itzel peered at him with a lopsided smirk and inclined her head so to indicate for him to come and have a seat next to her. She took one look at her drink, shook out her curls, and effortlessly downed the remainder of her mojito. Though it may not have been completely classy and quite out of character for a posh tottie, tonight was not the night to be having false pretenses. Itzel was going to be who she wanted to be and – right now, here, tonight – she wanted to be that crazy bitch that Gossip Girl adores to humiliate. She was never the one to put much stock into ‘the social pecking order’. To Itzel, it didn’t matter the cards you’re given but always the way you played the game. And, if one was to be completely frank, Itzel was on the top of her game this particular evening. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -• B E C A U S E Y O U S A Y S O •UNDER YOUR BREATH 470 WORDS | COMPLETE | MICHAEL | OUTFIT LYRICS BY PANIC!
