It was sometime around 9pm when the stars began to rain. Time was passing slower than usual it seemed but time was no matter to Edward. It was as if he had all the world to spare for the simpliest of moments. He didn't come onto the roof often and when he did it was usually because he had nothing else to do and he wanted to catch a view of the city.
The old rusted door was thankfully unlocked and allowed him on to the roof. Being a fairly organised guy he had his umbrella at the ready and opened it the moment he walked out from the shelter the building provided. There was something about rain which made everything so much more beautiful and it was one of his favourite things about London. With a slow stride he approached the edge of the roof where he leant on the railing, providing safety for anyonewho could stomach the height of the thing.
The raindrops fell against his umbrella, protecting his expensive suit and perfectly style quiff from the water. He looked out to the city, lit with hundreds of lights. He was well aware that the rooftop was where plenty of people of wigmore came to think about their pathetic one night stands or dead-end relationships. It seemed that almost all of Wigmore were so caught up in the rumours and gossip which spread through the school. He had read the nonesense on gossip girl, the type of rubbish some people lived to read. He himself didn't believe in it and he couldn't help but feel bad for the innocent girls on there. All the same it wasn't as if he could stop it but he did try his best to cheer up the ladies at this school by making them feel like they were worth more than the sun. Doing such a thing made almost all the girls instantly fall in love with him and he had plenty of stalkers.
As much as he loved girls and being a romantic he always found it hard to make a real commitment. Sure, he would go as far as the girl wanted but calling her his girlfriend was out of the question. He wasmerely there for some support. Or a little more than that...

Peaches wa on the phone, organizing numerous thing to get ready for the prom. Her heels clicked in a perfect rhythm as she walked up the stairs to the rooftop. There was no need to take the elevator, as she was always afraid it might get stuck. Plus who didn’t need a little exercise?
Reaching the rooftop, she walked out the door into the rain. “Well I need them by Friday. Ciao ciao.” She spoke into the phone, her English accent strong on every word. Hanging up the phone, she let out a sigh, tilting her head up to look at the rain. Despite having done her hair, she didn’t mind the droplets bouncing off her. It seemed somewhat relaxing from the stress that she was feeling. Plus nobody was going to see her.
It was almost pouring with water, so she didn’t have to worry about bumping into anybody she knew. Now, she just needed a little stress reliever. Standing at 6 foot, she now looked even taller in her 6 inch heels. She was taller than most guys, which didn’;t worry her. It helped her with her secret ‘job’.

The sound of a voice turned his head and he looked through the rain to see who it was. The female figure which stood a short distance from him was unrecognisable to him but never the less he made his way toward her with his usual slow stride. Edward stopped behind her, putting his umbrella over her as well as himself. A smile grew on his lips as he looked to her. "What is a stunning lady like yourself doing all on her own?" He asked, his posh English accent prominent as he looked to her with a crooked smile.
She was a tall girl and was almost as tall as him. Standing at 6'1ft meant that he was taller than most the people in Wigmore but he definitely wasn't the tallest. The girl looked respectable and of high class, like himself. He nodded his head to her before introducing himself. "My name is Edward Lyons. But please, call me Eddie." He smiled, taking her hand in his and lifting it. "What is your name?" he asked.

Peaches looked up at the sudden figure, thankful that he had an umbrella with him. Despite her previous thoughts of getting wet, now that she was in company, she didn't want to ruin her make-up or hair. "I'm Peaches Warner. You can call me Elle, or Peaches." Her girlish voice spoke. With her dripping wet manicured hand, she took his and shook is gracefully, before returning her gaze to him.
"Do you often sit on rooftops when its raining? Correct me if I'm wrong, but why take a risk on such a fine looking suit?" She asked, looking at his attire. Her dress and shoes were somewhat low class compared to her usual clothes. She had just come back from work and didn't want anybody to recognize her.

He nodded once more. "Peaches... a beautiful name to say the least." he said, as a charming smile graced his lips. A chuckle escaped his lips at her comment. "Not at all. I guess the sight is too good to miss." he said, walking a few steps to the railings and looking over at the bright city. "I suppose I am fortunate that I can be in the presence of such a gorgeous girl in the meantime.." He complimented, looking to her with his dark green eyes.
Looking out to the city before them his eyes sparkled as he looked back to her. "Do you usually come up here?" he asked her, looking out to the streets once more. The sound of the rain against the umbrella was very comforting.

Peaches giggled lightly at his comment. This man was such a gentleman, and though Peaches had met many gentleman, she was always flustered by their comments. She walked up beside him, taking view of the brightly lit city. "I come up here to write down plans, or to think. There is rarely every anybody up here, which is something that makes me wonder. Who would want to miss such a beautiful place?" Her silky voice spoke, just loud enough through the slight wind.
Removing a wet strand of hair out of her eyes, she bit her lip and looked up at him. She didn't recognize the face, perhaps he hung out with an unfamiliar crowd. After all, Wigmore was a big school. Looking back out at the city, she brushed her hand through her damp hair, smiling. Her white straight teeth were revealed.

"I see.. let me guess... you are arranging the prom or something? he asked, looking to her with a small smile. He loved formal occasions but he wasn't sure what the prom would be like. If it was being organised by this girl maybe it would be better than if anyone else did.
He looked out to the city once more before looking back to her to see that she was looking at him. He wondered what she was thinking about but he just decided to leave it out. A crooked smile came to his lips before he spoke. "How are you?" he asked the simple question, putting his hand into his pocket.

"Vegas styled" Peaches smiled, when he asked if she was planning prom. She loved dances, and she loved planning things. But she had to make sure that everything was perfect for it. There couldn't be any fights, or any drama. It had to be the one night of fun before she graduated from Wigmore.
She looked out at the city, a smile now revealing all of her teeth. "I'm...just perfect." She nodded, listening to the raindrops on his umbrella and on the ground. It really was a perfect night, despite the rain. No drama had taken over, and there wasn't anybody complaining about their lifes. "And how are you?" She asked, turning to look at him once more.

A smile came to his lips as she said the style. He had never been to Vegas but when he thought of it he thought of numerous different things. It definitely was a good theme for a prom. His smile increased as she replied to his question. "Yes, you are very much perfect." He complimented again, looking straight into her eyes before looking back out to the city.
"I'm great thankyou." he nodded. He looked back to her for a moment before looking out again. "So.. Peaches.. What do you think of those... cliques." he asked, trying to remember what the things were called. He was always curious to find out what other people thought.

Peaches raised her brow line and smiled at his question. It was the question that all of the newcomers to Wigmore asked. No matter how much you tried to avoid the cliques, they would be right there behind you. She had learned this from past experience. She would never befriend a nerd, or an outcast. But only because it would ruin her status. Plus she always found them to be so different to her that she couldn't relate.
"At first, they seem unfair and discriminative. But after six years at Wigmore, I've come to a conclusion that they put people in their place." She explained, her voice soft and high."I, as a Posh Totty, have duties to ensure that Wigmore has class.
" She brought her manicured hand up to her face and pointed to herself. " You, assuming you are either a jock, or a gentleman. You are the one who ensures that Wigmore is filled with content girls. You're the one who makes them feel good." She gave a shrug, showing off her pearly whites.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

He nodded to what she said, agreeing. Thinking about it, the cliques did put people in their place and separated the people with class from the scum. A chuckle escaped his lips as she spoke about his 'role' in the school's system. He looked to her, smiling. "..and does this girl feel good?" he referred to her as he spoke and tilted his head looking straight into her eyes.
He brushed his coat down briefly with his hand before returning his gaze to her. "Rubbish weather." he commented, looking around at the water which fell from the sky.

Peaches lips formed a sheepish smile at his not-so-subtle question. She believed that she was one of the popular posh totties, and she didn't need somebody to make her feel good. "I don't need some gentleman to make me feel good. But yes, I guess this girl does feel good." She giggled lightly. Her voice was so girlish it almost sounded as if a little girl was speaking.
"I think this weather is lovely. Without rain, there would be no rainbow." She smiled. Then she let out a little laugh. Could there really be anything more cliche? But she always tried to look on the positive side of things. The glass was always half full for her. Well at least thats what she showed on the outside. But deep down, she was just like every other girl longing for something more.
