Surfing ~open~

Mia walked on the beach at about twelve o'clock in the afternoon on a warm Saturday. Her dark red hair was tied up into a messy ponytail with her fringe and other lochs of hair that was not in the ponytail. She inhaled deep and took in the sea breeze. She let out her breathe smiling. The day was a great day for surfing. She hadn't surfed in awhile and she needed to practice. Mia was on the surfing team and she couldn't drag the team down.

She wore a bright orange bikini that was covered up with jean shorts and a black tank top. White flip flops protected her feet from the hot sand that was below her. In her hand she held a blue with thick white stripes down the middle of the board. Mia found the board nice and it was one of her favorites.

Mia sat unto the ground and shed her external clothes to reveal her orange bikini. She slipped off her white flip flops and picked up her board. She ran to the water and shrieked when she reached the cold water. It sent shivers up her spine and goosebumps formed on her skin. When she reached deep enough water she went on her stomach on her board and paddled in the water.

A wave approach her and she quickly turned herself around. Putting her legs back on the board she readied herself for the wave. When it came she started to paddle and then went to her feet. She rode it pretty well until she slipped off. Mia went underwater and she resurfaced after the wave passed. She coughed due to the fact that she swallowed some of the water. Come on. She said coughing. Mia wadded to where the water reached her ankles and sat down.

Andrew was on duty at the beach as usual. The sun was warm today and it was a nice day though as the autumn drew nearer and nearer less and less people were coming to the beach making Andrew's presence there almost wasted.

He saw the girl and it bought a smile to his lips. She was obviously a surfer which was always fun to watch and it would be something to amuse him in this day of nothingness. He watched her intently, watching the wave and the way she rode across it well but his brows rose and his eyes widened as she fell into the water. The girl looked capable and experienced enough to recover from the fall herself but out of pure habit and instinct Andy ran to the shore where she sat.

He knelt bent over beside her, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Are you alright?" he asked, a slight concerned look about his face. "That was a pretty bad fall.." his Australian accent decorated his words as they left his lips and a small smile came to his features. She seemed quite experienced at surfing so falling off was probably something she was used to but all the same, he wanted to make sure she was okay.

Mia looked over an saw some guy that was probably the life guard. He seemed to be concerned for her like any life guard would. I'm fine thanks. She said standing up. I'm just out of practice. She added. Mia stood up and picked up her surfboard smiling small. Wish me luck She said running back to the waves.

Mia started paddling once she got to deeper waters and waited for a big enough wave. Finally one came and she smiled big. Turning around she readied herself for the wave. The wave came closer and she paddled toward the shore. Then she stood up and road the wave. YES! She exclaimed and she got back to shallow waters. Finally. Mia said happily.

He was happy to see that she was okay so stood up straight. Andrew wished her luck as she asked and watched her rush out to the waves. He chuckled lightly, watching her. When she began to surf a lot better than last time and smile came to his lips and he applauded her with clapping.

A smile stayed on his face as he looked to her. "Well done! That was awesome." He grinned. "I suck at surfing.. you have a great talent." He said, his eyes twinkled as he looked to her and shoved his hands into his pockets.

Thank you. She said smiling. She red hair was dripping wet and send water drops down her back. When he said he couldn't surf she bit her lip. Come on. I bet you can. I want you to try. Mia insisted smiling. She put her surf board in his hand and started to push him toward the water.

She expected him to object, but even if he did she wouldn't stop. Mia was stubborn and didn't like to give up. I'm Mia by the way. She said randomly because she found it an appropriate time. She really doubted that she would be able to get him into deeper waters because he was taller and bigger than her.
