Sitting in the music room,December tapped the keys of a piano. It was a simply melody, but it was all she needed to follow the notes of the song. Humming the tune out first she found her pitch easily. She began singing the words as she read them off a paper. December usually hated musical, but she had been to deprived of any acting that she would audition anyway. Her voice was plain and not stunning but, her acting would make up. It was good enough to get he part, if she could sing it right.
Her voice hit sour note after sour note and eventually she smacked the piano in anger. The noise was ugly and December sighed. Putting her head in her hands, she envisioned the notes over and over again. She could hear her voice hitting it, she just couldn't accomplish the task. She sat upset for a long time.

Felicity was headed toward her sanctuary....the music room. She went there when she was happy, sad, confused, or just to practice. Her attention was caught when she heard someone playing the piano. She listened at the door.
Felicity heard a girl singing. She wasn't that bad, but she was off. Then she heard the piano make an ugly sound and knew the girl had known she wasn't hitting the notes. Felicity peered inside and saw a blonde girl she'd seen around school. She leaned against the door frame and grinned What's that piano ever done to you? she asked sarcastically.

December spun around to see a girl standing at the door. She grabbed the hem of her skirt and looked down. Biting her lip, she mumbled out an answer, "N-n-nothing." She rubbed at the bottom of her skirt nervously. December was so awkward around other people, but she was supposedly a social butterfly. Yeah right.
Choking back pure fear, she spoke again, "I-i'm sorry. I d-d-didn't mean to offend a-a-anyone." Her words were barely a whisper. The girl may have not heard her at all, and this was quite common for December. Her severe, crippling shyness caused a lack of friends. A serious lack of anyone who cared about her.

Felicity laughed lightly. Don't worry about it. I was joking. She leaned against the walk across from the girl. She almost didn't hear the girl at all but her ear were trained to hear things no one else could.
Felicity smiled kindly at the girl. She was shy, but Felicity was good at getting people to come out of their comfort zone or to talk. She was quite friendly and when she set her mind to it very patient.

December blushed deep red. She was so stupid. She could never distinguish between a serious person and a joking one. She was always too nervous around people to realize their tones. She was concentrating too much on the fact that she was being spoken too. Tugging on a strand of hair, she continued looking down. "O-oh.." she mumbled.
December nodded quickly and toed the ground. She looked up swiftly to see a small smile on the girl's face. December returned a flash of a tiny smile and it was gone as fast as it appeared. Hugging her knees to her chest, she bit her lips looking for something to say. She didn't want this girl to think she was some sort of freak. "My name's December" she said next to silently.

Felicity smiled at the girl's name she thought then said December...cool name. I'm Felicity. My friends call me Cici, but you don't have to. She shrugged. Her smile get abit bigger.
She looked at the piano then at December. You know, I could train you. In singing. I've been singing even before I could talk. My mom says she remembers me humming. Felicity said laughing lightly.

December smiled faintly and nodded. "Nice name," she mumbled, though she meant it. Felicity was a beautiful name in December's opinion. She bit her lower lip, one of her major nervous habits. She opened her mouth to speak again, but shut it and swallowed her words.
When she said she would train her December hurried shook her head. "No, no, no! I'm a hopeless case! I don't want you wasting your time!" She said quickly. She in no way wanted this girl to bother herself with December. December was a waste of time, and a waste of space. She hoped this girl wouldn't bother herself.

Felicity smiled kindly and said with a wave of her hand. Of course not! Any one can sing as long as you've got rhythm. And you actually weren't that bad you know? Just a bit off pitch, but everyone needs to train their voice.
Felicity thought about what she said about wasting space. She walked over to the piano and leaned on it. I believe no on is a waste of space. Everyone has a purpose and was put here for a reason. she said smiling abit mysteriously. She really did believe those things. Besides, I'll do it free of charge! she said giggling lightly.

December bit her lip and looked up at her with big doe eyes. She nodded very slowly and said, "Thank you. I appreciate it. I'll try and be as good as possible so you can get back to your life." Her said it almost sadly, as if she wished that she wouldn't just leave her. But December was simply too timid, and that explained her lack of friendships.
December smiled slightly. She blinked to show her agreement, though she thought the girl was lying. December truly was a waste of space. She had no talent, no friends, and she barely had a personality. She bit her lip and looked down.

Felicity sighed seeing the nonbelief in December's eyes. She walked over and sat donw on the bench with her. Nonsense. There's nothing I'd rather do than help you. Besides, the look on someone's face when they finally hit that note...totally worth the hard work.
Felicity looked at her sideways and smiled encouragingly. So, shall we start now or do you want to start later? Either way we are starting and you'll be a master before you know it. I find ways to make it fun and you'll totally forget you're learning boring notes. She thought and then said Your're going to need to loosen up. If you're so hard on yourself you'll never get it. Trust me, I know from personal experience.

December smiled slightly. "May we start now please?" December knew that she had little time before this audition and needed to perfect her song as soon as she possibly could. She blinked a few times and searched for more to say. She wished she could offer Felicity more stimulating conversation, but December had trouble speaking. She, when she did speak, was articulate and cultured in her speech. But, she spoke very little.
She sat silently, hoping this girl would speak up. Felicity seemed to be good with words, and maybe she would be make up for the few words December said. She smiled softly at her and clasped her hands together.

Felicity smiled at December and grabbed her arm. She pulled her to the middle of the room and stood infront of December. Now she said sounding abit older than her age we have to start with a warm up. Ready? Repeat after me.
Felicity took a deep breath and said her Ma's, May's, and Mom's three times each like she normally did. She smiled encouragingly at December and motioned for her to repeat it.
