Lauryl, balancing all of her bags in one arm, searched for the room key she had put in her purse on her left shoulder. She dug through its contents, finally finding the appropriate key, which she had made custom at a local locksmith store down the row of shops where she had bought some food items to stock in her new dorm. The key had a cursive, hot pink L on the silver key and a pink lanyard made the item a cute accessory when she was out in London. On the lanyard, a white horse head with the letters AHJA were printed every few inches across the cotton lanyard. This object was from home, when Lauryl rode horses all over in the American Hunter-Jumper Association. Although she missed it desperately, she was glad to have a break from showing, and some of her horses, including her favorite, Jet, were being shipped over to London so she could continue to practice.
The key fit in the cleanly polished brass door lock and with a click, the door opened to reveal a gorgeous room. She strode in with an exasperated huff at the balancing act she had been performing and sighed as she let it all fall to the floor in the new room. Lauryl ran a hand through her golden-brown waves, knowing she'd have to pick it all back up an later put the contents into drawers and into closets. She was happy to finally be in her beautiful dorm, and the view across the courtyards was amazing. The watch on her arm beeped, showing it was exactly 1:00 PM. According to the lady at the front counter in the lobby, all students must be checked into their dorms by 2:00. She hoped that her new roommate, whose name she had not yet learned, would arrive soon, so they could introduce themselves and maybe go out to get a bite to eat in the busy light of day.

WearingTeagan walked through the halls slowly lugging her luggage. Teagan didn't have an excess of clothes and or makeup, it was her instruments and sheet music. She had a love of music that she expressed through instruments, written music, and singing. She took a small step, hoping not to drop anything, finally making it to her dorm door. Since her hands and arms were completely full she bite her key that hung from a green lanyard that she had bought a couple months ago. Teagan bent down and fitted the key into the key hole. She turned her head turning the key and realized that it had already been opened. My roommate must have already come. She deduced silently. With her elbow she opened up the door and tried her best to squeeze through the door way. One bag stopped her from doing so. Teagan ended up throwing a few bags into the room.
She sighed and made it through the door way. She dropped all her bags and cracked her knuckles. Oh thanks goodness that's done, She exclaimed rubbing her aching arms. She looked around the dorm in awe, letting it's beauty sink in. Teagan felt excitement running through her for the future that was soon to come. Her old roommate, Grace, left for family reasons that she was unsure of. Her and Grace had become best friends, she was of Teagan's few friends for Teagan was a shy girl. She didn't like the talk to new people for of what they might think of her. Though she eager to meet her new roommate hoping they could be just as good friends. Teagan saw her roommate in front of her and smiled. Hi. I'm Teagan, She said introducing herself.
