Nodding her head to just about anything he said, she watched him talk. Her gaze getting lost in his facial features. She wasn't too sure what was going to happen today but she hoped it be good. "Nathaniel, you don't have to go through all this trouble. Besides, hanging around with me will probably decrease your popularity" she laughed lightly, her words decorate with Irish accent as she began to wonder why he was so enthusiastic about this and why he wanted to do it. Being unpopular really didn't bother her but if today was going to be fun she wouldn't pass the chance.
She stood up after him her gaze then looking to the boy who apologised to Nathaniel. She remembered his name almost instantly. "Graeme!" she said a little too loud and enthusiatic than expected. She had been so mesmorised by Nathaniel she hadn't even noticed him come in. "where did you come from?" she asked cocking her head to one side. Looking to the two gorgeous boys who stood infront of her she felt quite lucky. The both of them were quite taller than her. Standing at 5'3ft meant that almost everyone towered over Evie.

Nate sneered at the boy who had almost walked right into him, before seeing that Evie and him were friends. He knew who the other boy was, but had never actually spoken to him. He chose to avoid people like that, knowing that they wouldn’t agree with his ideas of ‘relationships’ or lack thereof. If Graeme knew who Nate was, then chances were he would try to take Evie away from him, assuming that she was just another girl that Nate would use. Part of that was correct, but he also wanted to help Evie become a little more popular. So now, he had to be nice to Grame to show that the rumors weren’t all true; even though they were.
“It’s alright. It was clearly an accident. I’m Nathaniel VanKarlssen.” He put on a smile. Graeme would probably be able to tell it was a fake smile. Being in the same clique as Nate, most populars knew of his schemes and drug dealing. And all of them would be able to recognize his fake sickly smile when they saw it. But hopefully, Evie wouldn’t notice a thing. If Graeme did end up saying something about Nate to Evie, then there wouldn’t be a problem. Nate had shown her nothing but kindness. “I assure you Evie. My popularity isn’t at risk.” He assured her.

Graeme peered at Evie with a slightly worried but curious look as his left eyebrow arched in almost a question. “I… uh… I came from outside,” he stated simply as if he was confused to where else he would’ve come from. Carefully he studied her as she seemed to be slightly shell shocked. Oblivious to what might have her so jumpy, Graeme’s gaze fell back on Nathaniel as he introduced himself.
“My name’s Graeme Maybury,” he spoke, an award-winning smile plastered across his face. “It’s so nice to finally meet you,” Graeme declared his eyes shining with sincerity. It was obvious to him that this VanKarlssen guy was not out for friends and Graeme wasn’t going to force himself onto someone. But Graeme was going to be professional and be kind to Nathaniel despite the cold sneer written deep into his eyes.
A light smirk tugged at his lips as Nathaniel commented on his popularity; he truly was conceited and anyone in their right mind could see that. Graeme didn’t understand the big fuss girls had over the drunken sex addict that stood in front of him. Maybe it was something to do with his reputation. Maybe girls were drawn to him because they think they can change him. Graeme let out a quiet ‘humph’. Fat chance, he thought.

Nathaniel continued on with his fake smile as the boy introduced himself. "Pleasure to meet you." He said bluntly. This guy clearly had a thing for Evie, and every nerve in Nathaniels body wanted to make sure nothing happened between the two. It wasn't as if he liked Evie himself, he just needed something to mend his boredom. He never got along with guys, it was always a habit of his to fight with them instantly.
But now, he needed to make Graeme as jealous as possible. "So Evie, have you got a date for prom? The perfect date will surely help you with our little plan." He smirked. He wasn't intending to ask her to the prom, he just wanted to see the look on Graeme's face for mentioning it. By saying 'our little plan' is secluded Graeme from Evie and Nate, which meant that Nate was one step ahead.

It was obvious to Evie that the two boys weren't really going to get along never the less she kept her usual happy smile upon her face. The expression on Graeme's face made her laugh a little. Why he looked so confused she had no idea but the familiar sound of his deep American accented voice made her smile widen. Her hands slipped into the pockets of her damp coat as she looked around the shop briefly. There weren't many more people around than before.
Her gaze returned to Nathaniel as he asked her a question about prom. Evie shrugged. "Nope. Prom hasn't actually crossed my mind... Dancing and looking posh 'n' perfect isn't really my thing..." She said honestly. Dances and Evie didn't go well together and since no-one really knew Evie she always ended up going alone which definitely wasn't fun. Her gaze looked at them both in turn before she returned the question. "How about you two? I bet you already have dates." She laughed lightly. She knew that Nathaniel would probably have a date. If he didn't have one he was probably just deciding which of the many girls he knew to take with him. As for Graeme, she wasn't too sure. A sweet smile stayed on her lips as she looked at the two of them, waiting for the answer.

A smirk captivated Graeme’s lips, “The pleasure is mine,” he lied. The longer he stayed around this VanKarlssen guy, the more he gave him the creeps. Something about him was off and was giving Graeme an uneasy feeling but he didn’t allow it to show, as he did with most of his emotions. He hid them. It was very unprofessional to show one’s true feelings as they were usually crude and that of lesser life forms.
Graeme didn’t quite understand what Nathaniel said but what he did catch was “our little plan.” The idea of him and Evie having a “plan” together worried him some for Evie’s sake. Jealousy frothed around and clouded his thinking momentarily but not much of the feeling echoed in his face. Graeme took a stiff drink of his coffee as he peered out the window.
Then Evie’s voice caused his gaze to snap back to her face. She wasn’t going to prom with anyone. A wave of relief washed over Graeme. And then to hear that she truly didn’t like formals either, a smile danced across his lips. There was too much drama that went down at dances so naturally, Graeme preferred to stay far from them. But this was his chance.
He looked at Evie with a genuine smile plastered on his face, “I wasn’t planning on going but now that I hear you haven’t a date, would you, Evie Dove, allow me the magnificent honor of escorting you to prom?” he inquired of her. An expectant look was about his happy face. Triumph impaired his impression of people but he was certain he could almost hear Nathaniel’s blood turn green with envy.

A mixture of emotions came over Evie as she looked to Graeme and heard his request. At first she felt shock. Evie definitely hadn't been expecting this and it came as a great surprise. It took her a while to regain herself and to answer him. A great feeling of happiness flooded her as she looked to Graeme with sparkling blue eyes. "Oh, wow.." she said, a feeling of disbelief flooding her. "I would love to go with you Graeme!" she said, a large smile upon her features as her Irish accent sounded brighter than ever.
She felt over the moon and had completely forgotten about Nathaniel and his plan to make Evie popular. She hoped that he would have no problem with her going with Graeme but even so, if he did have a problem Evie wasn't going to change her mind. She held a lock of hair and twirled it round her fingers out of habit as she looked at the two boys, a smile still on her face. She was starting to think that maybe all of this was a dream but of coarse, that would be impossible since everything looked so real.

Nathaniel raised his brow line and smirked, despite what his real thoughts were. It looked like him and Graeme wouldn't get along after all, even though Nate had no intention of trying to make that happen. "I wasn't planning on going actually. The whole prom thing seems so fake...and American." He voiced his thoughts, deliberately making it sound tacky because it was from America, then peered over at Graeme. "Plus the fact that Peaches planned it can't be good. She's good-looking, but a real twat." He shrugged, examining his fingernails.
He then nodded up and looked at the both of them. "But that was until I found somebody to take." He lied, but didn't show it. Nathaniel was always very good at lying, as he often did it when he was trying to pick up girls. "I guess we'll see you to there then." He smirked. He had to get Graeme jealous somehow, but he didn't dare mention his date. Why? Because he didn't have one. He wasn't even planning on going at first.

A broad, happy smile took over Graeme’s face. He knew she would say yes. It was all too obvious at that she had some sort of affection for him when she couldn’t keep her eyes off of him at the pool. True, Graeme was very confident in himself but he wasn’t at the same ridiculous extent as Nathaniel. “Awesome!” he mused a smile still etched into his features. Graeme really liked Evie and could care less that she wasn’t popular. As a matter of fact, social didn’t matter at all to him. He could be an outcast for all he cared.
Graeme looked to Nathaniel as he spoke and nodded in agreement at his prom comment. He, too, disliked the idea of social events. Not only that, but that it was an American dance. For the most part, Graeme had come to school in London to get away from the cliché country. Not that he wasn’t proud of where he came from; he just figured he would get more out of his learning career if he studied abroad. “Well good for you,” Graeme said to Nathaniel sincerely about his finding a girl lowly enough to accept his request of taking her to prom. A genuine grin pulled at the corners of his lips as he patted Nathaniel’s upper arm as if to congratulate him.

Evie nodded in agreement to what nathaniel said. Back in Ireland they rarely had proms and dances. Maybe school discos every now and then but nothing too formal. She couldn't help but let a light laugh escape her lips as Nathaniel spoke of Peaches. "She isn't that bad is she? 'Round Drake she is a little obsessive though..." she shrugged. Talking about other people behind their backs wasn't ever something she liked to do especially about people she didn't really know at all.
When Nathaniel spoke of having a date she smiled a wide smile. "Yay! I suppose we will see you there then" she was oblivious to the fact that he was lying and she couldn't wait till prom Which definately wasn't like her. She perched on the edge of the table her and Nathaniel had sat at before. "Are we going to go or are we going to hang around here all day?" She asked, looking at the two boys. The coffee shop was starting to get a little boring. She didn't care that it was raining outside still. She just wanted a change of scenery from the coffee shop which was getting more crowded by the minute. She took her mobile out of her pocket, a retro, battered looking thing which was practically falling apart but she didn't mind. She looked through her messages to check that no one had texted her before slipping the phone back into her pocket and returning her gaze to Nathaniel and Graeme.

Nathaniel furrowed his brow at Graeme. The way he patted him on the arm was as if he was a child, so he raised his brow line and turned back to Evie. "Oh I guess you will be." He gave a smirk, running his hand through his hair. He needed to prove to Graeme that he would be able to get Evie if he wanted to. Did he want to? No. But he couldn't let somebody beat him when it came to getting girls. It was, in fact, the only thing he was good at.
Nathaniel didn't know why girls liked him. He felt the the bigger jerk he was, the more girls were attracted to him. They all seemed to think that they could change him into some nice and sweet guy. But they couldn't. None of them could. They just all ended up lonely and heart-broken. "Actually I like your idea. What would you like to do?" He asked.

Graeme nodded in agreement with Evie. He was interested to see what bimbo would actually agree to be seen in public with Nathaniel. Although, it appeared Graeme was actually looking forward to seeing him again, despite the fact that it was the complete opposite. A toothy smile etched his lips, “Since you have a date, Nathaniel, why don’t the four of us go out to eat before hand?” he suggested, a friendly tone taking over his voice. If Nathaniel did agree, it would make for quite an interesting night.
An uneasy feeling stayed into the pit of Graeme’s stomach the more time he spent with Nathaniel but somehow he felt the need to keep a close eye on him. He always knew Nate was bad news but upon officially meeting him, he was increasingly suspicious of what he might try to pull. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer, right?
Graeme still felt slightly excluded from what Nate and Evie had planned. He turned to Evie with a happy expression, “You don’t mind if I tag along do you?” he asked, directing his question to Evie. Graeme was sure to not even glance at Nathaniel, not allowing him to answer his question.

Nathaniel scratched the back of his ear, looking at Graeme quizzically. Double date? Now that was something he never did, nor wanted to do. That was outrageous and might actually show that he liked the girl. Which he didn’t. “ Bring her along to dinner?” He repeated, mouth slightly hung open. “I’d love to.” He said hesitantly, lying through his teeth. He clenched his teeth and rubbed the back of his neck. Now Peaches would think that he wanted it to be serious. Very rarely would he ever pay for a girl’s dinner, unless of course she was a virgin and he had to ‘show he cared about her’.
His teeth clenched tighter as Graeme asked if he could tag along. If Evie said yes, he would leave. Straight out. But then again, that would give Graeme time alone to be with Evie, so Nate would have to stay. He couldn’t let Graeme get Evie, simple as that. Nate would make her popular, and give her a better guy. This guy was a twat and made him angry.

When Graeme suggested the idea of eating together as four a large grin to her face."Oh yeah! Please do! That would be so awesome!" she said, a hopeful look in her eyes as she looked to Nathaniel. Of coarse, Evie was oblivious to the dislike these two boys were feeling for each other. When Nathaniel gave his answer Evie's smile widened some more. "Yay!". She couldn't stop herself from being so excited. She had never been on a double date before but she had heard from other people that they were great fun.
Her gaze fell on Graeme again as he asked if he could tag along. She nodded. "Of coarse. Infact, Let's go now." she said, walking between Nathaniel and Graeme, grabbing one arm of both in her hands before pulling them along with her gently as she walked to the door. When they got outside it was still raining lightly but she didn't mind. She let go of them and put her hands on her hips with a large smile on her face. "Where shall we go now then?" she asked, looking to the both of them. They could go anywhere at all, the day still had a long way to go and the places in London were unlimited. Evie didn't mind where they went as long as it wasn't anything boring.

A large, devious smile that could easily be mistaken for an extremely happy grin, stretched across Graeme’s face when Nate agreed. He had a good feeling that this was not going to be one of Nate’s favorite moments. The idea of making life difficult on him was entertaining to Graeme. Usually he preferred to make friends over enemies but Nathaniel was just asking for it. “Where do you propose we go?” inquired Graeme to the both of them, implying where they should dine before prom. He really didn’t mind where they went so long as they did, in fact, go.
Evie took initiate and dragged Nate and Graeme outside. It was raining much less than earlier and was now only but a mist. When Evie asked where they should go Graeme shrugged and gave Nathaniel a sideways glance as if allowing him to answer her question. “I’ll go wherever you’d like to go,” he told Evie. Graeme was really up for anything; he never had a problem with going where the wind took him.
