Still somewhat caught up in the undertow of the stirring current from her flash back, a faint smile traced Zarah’s lips as she looked up at Sun Bae, listening to his words. What he said was a comforting notion, in its own way. But, her startled feelings remained for how rash and impulsive she was acting mere moments ago. Zarah was the type of person that almost never lost control of herself. Sure, she constantly spoke her mind but to act out on whim was a trait she had never possessed and this sudden change in character was upsetting.
Apart of her heart seemed to break as she thought for a moment. Zarah felt that being here with Sun Bae was a betrayal to the severest of degrees. Although, he may be dead, a whisper of their unspoken promise still weighed heavy on her troubled soul. It was always there; he liked her, she liked him, though it was never verbalized. The situation didn’t make any sense to most that encountered it and the memory people’s judgmental eyes still caused Zarah’s cheeks to flush scarlet. Embarrassing and cliché as it was she would give just about anything to have it back.
Eyes glowing with fervor, Zarah smiled a toothy grin. “I
love music,” she mused. Not many other things enthralled her as much as music did. Although, she didn’t much appreciate rap and metal; it wasn’t exactly her style. However, Zarah was sometimes caught listening to select songs in those genres. It all depended on the lyrics. That’s what mattered to her; the lyrics and the emotion the song evoked. On some level, she felt that literature was a part of music making. After all, song writing was a branch of poetry. [/blockquote][/blockquote]
